Fine motor

Have a go at this letter 'f' formation sheet. The letter 'f' it written in two parts. Don't forget- start at the top!

If you want to, you could have a go at making the letter 'f' on the playdoh mat. If you haven't got any playdoh, you can make some fairly easily- there are lots of recipes online. 

TIP: If you place the playdoh mat in a plastic wallet, you can use it again. 

Phonics

This week we are learning some vowel digraphs- two vowels together to make one sound. 

Todays new sound is- 'ai' like in 'rain'.

Watch the video and look through the powerpoint. 

Have a go at writing some 'ai' words. Can you challenge yourself to write a caption with an 'ai' word in?

Today's game is Bingo. Either print off the game from below or make your own!

Keep the mat with the pictures whole and place it infront of you. Cut up the words and place into a bag. Pull the words out one at a time and read the word- spot the digraph first! Can you find the picture on your mat? If you can, match it! Some words will not match any pictures. 

When you have a line or the whole board, shout BINGO!

Maths

This week we will be looking at subtraction- taking away. When you take away, the number will always get smaller!

Have a go at finding 1 less than a number. We sing 10 green bottles, 5 speckled frogs, 5 little ducks and 10 in a bed to help with this 

Can you find 2 less? We use '10 fat sausages' to help with this. You could make your own pan of sausages to help you work the calculations out!

PSHE

In PSHE, we have been learning about looking after our bodies. Today we are discussing looking after our teeth. How do you look after your teeth?

You could design a poster about looking after your teeth, or make your own information video about looking after your teeth!
