Dear Parents & Carers,
I would like to extend a very warm welcome to you and your children to Sacred Heart School and I sincerely hope that your children will enjoy their learning experience here.
As parents and carers you will be aware that as a Voluntary Aided School we are required by law to provide 10% of the money spent on repairing, maintaining and updating our school buildings and infrastructure.
Over the last four years, the Parents’ contributions have ensured that the roof has been repaired (no more leaks), provided a new reception and office area, helped develop the Reception class area, extend the car park and our projects for this year are to refurbish the toilets and hopefully replace some of the classroom windows.
To help finance these projects we ask that each family makes a voluntary contribution to ensure that the school can continue to maintain and improve the facilities for the benefit of all the children and staff. Please note that although this contribution is very much appreciated, it is voluntary, there is no obligation to make any contribution, and children of parents who do not contribute will not be treated any differently.
A Voluntary contribution of around £45 per year (£60 per family where there is more than one child attending the school) is suggested.
The ideal method of contributing to the Building Fund is through Gift Aid donations by either the school comms system or by standing order (annually or monthly). If you would like to contribute via Standing Order in the future, please complete the Standing Order and Gift Aid forms and hand them into the school office.
It is important that parents and carers understand that without these contributions, the school cannot continue to maintain and improve the premises to a high standard our children and staff deserve. If you are a UK income taxpayer we ask that you consider Gift Aid for your contribution. Gift Aid means that if you are a UK income taxpayer the school can claim an extra 25p from the Government for every £ that you donate.
Many thanks.
Yours sincerely,
David Timson
