Phonics

How many tricky words do you recognise? Play games using the tricky words flashcards. You could hide them around the house and go to find them, or make 2 copies of the flashcards and play Pairs or Snap, you could play spin the bottle with the flashcards, you could play splat (set the words out and when you say a word, your child 'splats' it with their hand/spatula/fly swat/ whatever you like!).

Challenge yourself to learn a new tricky word today. 

Maths

Can you make a potion or a perfume?

Get lots of ingredients (these can just be different coloured water!) together and measure different amounts to make a potion or perfume. Can you write down your recipe?

(I would suggest measuring in spoons or small cups!)

Afternoon activities

I would like you to have a free afternoon! This is your last day learning from home, so do something fun!

If you would like to, you could make a picture of something that you could show us in school next week. Or you could make us a card or a picture. Tell me what you're looking forward to about school. Are you worried about anything? Take this opportunity to talk to your families about coming back to school.
