Autumn Term 2024
RE/Geography
What does it mean to be a ‘steward of the Earth’?
In our RE lessons about Creation, we will be examining how God wishes us to be ‘stewards of the Earth’. In our Geography lessons about the Rainforests, we will look at ways that we can help the Earth’s environment and why it is important for us to do so. Use what you learn in our lessons, and your own research, to:
• Define what is meant by ‘steward of the Earth’ (you could link to Bible passages!)
• Explain what you can personally to do be a steward
• Demonstrate what threats our environment faces, and what needs to be done across the world to help (you could focus on Rainforests)
Due 4th October 2024
Spring Term
RE - Inspirational People
In our RE lessons this half term, we are learning about inspirational people who show us how to live like Jesus wanted us to. We are discussing how Jesus inspires us and how he asks us to follow him in our actions towards other people.
Task: Create a poster explaining who you are inspired by.
You must choose someone who helps others and loves their neighbour, rather than someone who is just famous (although it is possible to be both!). You might like to consider how we are called to be inspirational people too. It could be someone alive now or in the past. Think of all the inspirational people we learn about in school and the people we had in our advent calendar if you are unsure.
