At Sacred Heart, we have begun preparations for the Jubilee Year with a Spiritual Day on January 6^th, beginning with Mass to celebrate the Epiphany and then children having experiences of different forms of prayer, a ‘pilgrimage’ for Mary, artwork, Godly play and music.

Emily – I enjoyed doing the art because we got to show the three Wise Men going to Bethlehem.

Lily – I enjoyed doing all of the activities especially the pilgrimage walk where I learnt everything about Jesus’ life from his birth, his death and his resurrection.

Max – I enjoyed the Godly Play and learnt about Jesus’ Baptism and when the Holy Spirit came.

Iris – I liked making crowns to decorate the prayer tree in Reception. I wrote a prayer to thank God for what he has given us.

Florence – I enjoyed learning about Jesus’ Baptism in Godly play and writing I wonder questions. I wrote “I wonder how Jesus felt.”
