Culture Week

Thank you to everyone that brought in their culture box this week. They are fantastic, and the children really enjoyed looking at them. We also got the chance to visit all the other classrooms, and look at their boxes too.  We looked at all the different cultures in our class and found the countries on a map.  We also took an Indian dance class. The children were amazing! We even carried on the dancing back in class. On Thursday, the children met with some very kind parents, who came in to talk about their culture. We also celebrated black history month by learning about Chris Ofilli. The children were very surprised to learn that he used elephant poo in paintings. We then went outside to create our own artwork using natural materials. What a busy week we had!

##This week the children finished writing their Puffin Peter Stories. The children worked really hard, and I was very impressed by the progress they have all made so far. Here are just a few examples. 

 We used uv beads to test where in the school gets the most sunlight.
