29th September 2025- Year 2 explored flight by making paper aeroplanes. This supported their understanding of how planes have changed over time.

14.11.25 - Thank you to all the parents and grandparents that joined us to make bird feeders. We look forward to hanging them outside and seeing what birds we can spot.

Nativity 2025 - A King is Born
16.12.25 - Year 2 had a visit from Three Discovery where they used a programme called "Clips" To create TV advents about anti bullying.
Christmas lunch!
16.1.26 - Year 2 learned how to use coins to make different amounts of money. They practised recognising coins and adding their values together to find totals.
23.1.26 - Year 2 designed and created a moving vehicle for Fuzzy the Teddy. They carefully considered how the vehicle would move, adding wheels and axles to their designs. After making their vehicles, they used iPads to take pictures of their finished product. The children are now excited to test their vehicles next week!
4.2.26 - Year 2 have been learning about multiplication and developed an understanding that the multiplication symbol means “groups of”. They used sticks to make equal groups and support their calculations, showing great effort and growing confidence in their maths learning.
17.4.26 - Year 2 made salads in DT. hey were taught how to safely cut, peel and grate a variety of fruits and vegetables using child-friendly equipment, as well as the importance of good hygiene and handwashing. The children loved creating their own colourful salads and were proud to taste the healthy dishes they prepared independently. Thank you to all the parents that came and supported year 2!
3.6.26 - Year 2 had a fantastic day at Mill Green Museum as part of their learning about the Great Fire of London. The children explored a working mill, made their own bread rolls, examined artefacts from 1666, wrote diary entries inspired by Samuel Pepys, became archaeologists for the day, and built their own Stuart houses. A huge thank you to our parent volunteers for giving up their time to support the trip – we couldn't have done it without you!
12.6.26 - Year 2 became young engineers as they investigated how the shape of a structure affects its strength. The children tested different 2D and 3D shapes to discover which were the strongest and most stable. They will use their findings to help them decide which shapes would be best for building a sturdy chair for Baby Bear.
