The 'Santa's Dragons' team worked so well together and this was recognised by the panel of Dragons who interviewed them. We are proud to say that we won two awards overall:
'Best Innovative Idea'
'Outstanding Individual' - awarded to Charlie.
Year 5 worked very hard throughout the Autumn Term as part of the Junior Dragon's Den Apprentice Programme. They started with £50 seed money which was used to buy products which turned into cakes, hot chocolate reindeer packages and personalised keyrings. After advertising for a few weeks, we then sold our products after school. We raised a total of £244.19 which will go towards helping local people feel a part of the community and help them to establish friendships. Well done Dragon's Den Team!
Mrs Ellmore was so proud of all the hard work Year 5 put in to their Rain forest Charity creations. All children portrayed a positively growth mindset at adapting and improving their charities throughout the term, resulting in a hugely successful 'Charity Market Stalls' afternoon, where the class of 2017 raised a brilliant £238.11. This money was sent to the 'World Land Trust', which was used to protect two and quarter acres of rain forest in Ecuador. Thank you to everyone who contributed towards this achievement.
